Co-Founder
Ishi Sharma, a student in Harvard College's class of 2030, believes in the power of reforming the world through storytelling. Her passion for the law, writing, and journalism culminated in the creation of Legally Speaking in 2021. The platform is one of the ways she remains civically engaged, having written many political op-eds during her time with the organization. Beyond her journalism, she enjoys singing jazz, competing in mock trial, creative writing, and watching sitcoms.

Hannah Oommen is a student in the Cornell University class of 2030. Hannah loves to hike and swim and rewatch clips of The Office. She enjoys exploring, taking on adventures, and most importantly, learning more about law. She believes that having a reliable source of news and learning about the law impacts our everyday lives.

As an avid reader and writer, she is deeply interested in the law, seeing it as a powerful force that shapes society. Naiesha Yerneni
Naiesha, a student at Skyline, enjoys reading, playing the guitar, and debating. She has a passion for philosophy, which she has been exploring since 7th grade and finds incredibly fascinating. She also finds "Legally Speaking" both enjoyable and educational, as it has provided her with valuable insights into the legal system. Naiesha highly recommends others to get involved in the program

Weilson is a student at Lake Washington High School who is interested in psychology, law, and history. As someone who enjoys reading and writing, he decided to become a writer at Legally Speaking to apply his skills and pursue his passion for law. Through informational articles and law review, Weilson seeks to make reliable and objective information about law and history more accessible to people of all backgrounds. Outside of Legally Speaking, Weilson enjoys listening to music, thrifting, and volunteering in the community.
